Only a day has passed since the conclusion of the 2024 Challenge Cup Final but the details for the 2025 edition have already been revealed with tickets also on sale.
Saturday’s Challenge Cup Finals Day saw the Women’s, Men’s and 1895 Cup Final take place as a triple-header for the second year in a row and 2025 will mark the third time that it happens.
The Men’s final recorded an attendance of 64,845, the highest since 2017, and the RFL and Rugby League Commercial are looking to capitalise on that and push for another huge attendance figure in 2025 by confirming the details and releasing discounted tickets almost immediately.
Tickets were released on sale at 7 pm last night with a 25% discount applied as part of an early-bird offer for the 2025 Finals day which will again showcase all three matches.
It’s been confirmed that Challenge Cup Finals Day next year will be Saturday 7th June, the first Saturday of the month.

That attendance figure of 64,845 marked an increase of over 6,500 on the 2023 Challenge Cup Final between Leigh Leopards and Hull KR, with huge clubs Wigan and Warrington drawing big numbers, as well as Wakefield Trinity in the 1895 Cup.
However, RL Commercial Managing Director Rhodri Jones has attributed the spike in attendance to the summer scheduling of the game, a key reason why it is being replicated in 2025 with Saturday 7th June confirmed as Finals day.
In a statement released by RL Commercial, Jones said: “The steady increase in attendances since 2021 has now delivered the best crowd for seven years, and we believe the reversion to a final earlier in the summer has played a part in that – so we are delighted to confirm that Challenge Cup Finals Day will be back at Wembley Stadium on the first Saturday in June in 2025.”
Those discounted tickets mean that prices start at just £15 for adults and £7.50 for Under 16s, with family packages for two Under 16s and an adult available from £18.75, representing incredible value. Details on tickets can be found here.
Challenge Cup Final pays tribute to Rob Burrow

Saturday was a day packed with emotion on account of the games being the first to be played since the passing of Rob Burrow and the Leeds Rhinos legend was celebrated at Wembley on Saturday.
Banners emerged with his name and face on, the advertising boards aired his name and number whilst a moment of silence pre-match followed by a minute of applause on the seventh minute was also observed brilliantly.
Moreover, the Men’s Final kicked off at 3:07 pm to pay tribute to Burrow’s iconic number seven jersey. Rhodri Jones referenced the amazing tributes in his statement.
He said: “After a traumatic week following the loss of Rob Burrow last Sunday, Rugby League came together to celebrate his life in fitting fashion on our Finals Day at Wembley Stadium.
“Some of the images were unforgettable, whether the tributes laid by supporters of many different clubs at the Rugby League Statue, or the flags unfurled over the fans at each end during Abide with Me – and the spontaneous applause which preceded the minute’s silence in tribute to Rob before the Challenge Cup Final, and the scheduled applause on 7 minutes of each of the four Finals, provided spine-tingling moments which underlined the universal respect and admiration for Rob and his family.
“It was important for us that the minute’s applause was consistent across all four Finals, and one of the highlights of the day was to hear the relatively small number of people in the stadium for the inspiresport Champion Schools Final showing their appreciation at 10:07 am.”
