14 Rugby League games on TV this week including Challenge Cup and 1895 Cup semi-finals

Another week down and another bumper weekend of Rugby League on our screens. On Thursday we saw Catalans Dragons overcome a tough test at St Helens and Wigan got the better of Warrington at the DW. Down under also saw plenty of action too, as the State of Origin series reached its conclusion. This week sees even more action, with a whopping 14 games being shown, including the Challenge Cup and 1895 Cup semi-finals. 

Here’s how you can catch all the action:

Friday 21st July

New Zealand Warriors v Canberra Raiders- 9:00am Sky Sports Arena

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Brisbane Broncos- 11:00am Sky Sports Arena  

Friday’s action sees the NRL take centre stage. First the in form Warriors take on the Raiders looking to leapfrog them in the table. The second game of the morning sees the Rabbitohs face the Broncos, who will be buoyed by the return of Reece Walsh.

Saturday 22nd July

Gold Coast Titans v North Queensland Cowboys- 3:50am Sky Sports Main Event

Newcastle Knights v St George Illawarra Dragons- 6:10am Sky Sports Main Event

North Queensland v Parramatta Eels- 10:35am Sky Sports Arena 

Brisbane Broncos v Sydney Roosters- 10:45am Sky Sports Mix 

St Helens v York Valkyrie- 11:45am BBC Red Button 

St Helens v Leigh Leopards- 2:30pm BBC ONE 

London Broncos v Halifax Panthers- 5:00pm Our League 

It’s a full day of Rugby League action this Saturday. For the early birds, there’s plenty of WNRL and NRL action to wet the appetites for the cup action in the UK. The first of the Challenge Cup semi-final double headers takes place at the Halliwell Jones, as St Helens Women face York Valkyrie in a hotly anticipated meeting between two of the form sides in the Women’s game. They will be followed by their male counterparts as St Helens take on the Leigh Leopards in the second game. Both promise to be absolute corkers, and are defiantly not to be missed. The evening kick-off sees another huge match in the 1895 cup, as the Broncos take on Halifax for a spot at Wembley.

Sunday 23rd July

York City Knights v Batley Bulldogs- 12:00pm Our League

There’s another bumper day of Rugby League action on Sunday. The WNRL is again the focus in the early hours, but all eyes then turn to the race for Wembley. The 1895 Cup is the first priority, as York face Batley. This is followed by the second of the weekend’s Challenge Cup double headers. Wigan Warriors face Leeds at Headingley, and they are swiftly followed by the Warrior’s men, who face Hull KR, who are fresh off victory at Headingley. Both teams have tasted victory at Headingley this season, but this week the prize is a spot at Wembley.
