1/3 Wigan to go 2nd in Super League ?

Given the Challenge Cup Final is only 8 days away Steve Price has named a much stronger squad than expected for the trip to Wigan on Friday night rugby .
It shows how important it is to finish in the top 3 this year , gaining an advantage in the play offs . A Wigan win could move Warrington down to 4th in the table and even at risk of being caught by 6th placed Castleford , so there is a lot riding in this .

Think back to early June when a last gasp drop goal from Sam Powell at Hull KR saved Wigan from going bottom of the table it’s crazy to think they could go 2nd with a win here . The Champions have won 8 of the last 9 since Wire won at the DW in May but their record against the 3 clubs ahead of them remains poor , the win at Hull 2 weeks ago being their only success in 8 games against the top 3 so surely Warrington , with the likes of Daryl Clark returning , are value getting an 8 point start on the handicap .
5/2 looks too big for a Wire side that have already beaten Wigan 3 times this season but there has to be a doubt given the final is only 8 days away and Austin is still missing . Wigan look way too short at 1/3 to win this but I do think they may just nick it by 1-5 points given the tremendous run they are on , value seekers may look to the Warrington getting a 4 point start at 6/4 . Williams has started to regain his form now the speculation is over , and Hardaker has been the leagues best full back for the last few weeks .

Clark should steady the ship for Wire at dummy half and he looks good man of the match value at 9/1 . In form Hardaker at 10/1 would be my Wigan pick just ahead of 8/1 favourite Williams .
Value of the day though could be the 4/1 for Ben Currie to score a try anytime with Super League sponsors Betfred .

London go to Perpignan on Saturday , as always please gamble responsibly.
