10 free agents still available to Super League and Championship clubs including former Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves men

Super League

Over the last couple of weeks a number of free agents have landed contracts for the new 2026 season.

The likes of Jack Walker, Aidan McGowan, Liam Watts, Brad Dwyer and Isaac Shaw have all been snapped up by Championship clubs in recent weeks, while Lachlan Fitzgibbon has got himself sorted too, taking up the opportunity to play at a local level down under.

However, a handful of players who were released by Super League clubs remain without a new deal for 2026. Here’s a look at those who haven’t got themselves sorted just yet.

Ashton Golding

Golding left Huddersfield in November by mutual consent and hasn’t managed to find a new club just yet. He was linked with a move to Leeds Rhinos but that has been dismissed by Ian Blease.

Zac Bardsley-Rowe

After leaving Warrington Wolves without the offer of a new deal, Bardsley-Rowe remains without a club. He has spent time on loan with Widnes Vikings, North Wales Crusaders and London Broncos over the last couple of years but no one has taken a punt on him just yet.

Bayley Sironen

Sironen was one of a raft of players to leave Catalans Dragons at the end of the Super League season but he hasn’t fixed himself up with a new club just yet. He was linked with a move to St Helens at one stage but nothing has come of it.

Jack Darbyshire

The outside back was released by Leigh at the end of the season but isn’t known to have landed a new opportunity just yet. He spent time on loan at Salford last season, but whether that could be an option for him remains to be seen.

Ethan Clark-Wood

The winger made just one outing for the Rhinos before being released at the end of the year. His hunt for a new opportunity in the sport goes on.

James Farrar

Farrar left York Knights without making an appearance after joining from Hull KR ahead of the campaign.

Tex Hoy

Hoy was released from his Castleford Tigers and allowed to return to Australia. He has not found a fresh opportunity in the game just yet.

Nolan Tupaea

Tupaea was another to leave Warrington at the end of the season after making just one appearance in primrose and blue. He spent time on loan at Keighley Cougars and Halifax Panthers last season but hasn’t been picked up yet.

Jack Potter

Potter left York Knights at the end of the 2025 season after making just three appearances for the club. He hasn’t found a new professional deal but he did represent West Hull last weekend in the Challenge Cup.

Alec Tuitavake

Derek Beaumont confirmed Tuitavake had left the club in a Facebook post over the off-season to return down under. He made 24 appearances and scored three tries for the club.
