This morning, after three defeats from three to start the season, Lee Radford was relieved of his duties as Castleford Tigers Head Coach.
This leaves the club with a big decision on their hands as a relegation scrap looks likely.
But who could replace Radford at the Jungle?
Andy Last
Undoubtedly the man in pole position as he takes over from Lee Radford just as he did back in 2020 at Hull FC. That time, he got the Black and Whites all the way to the Super League semi-finals. He has worked with England so is highly thought of. He would be a terrific appointment.
Danny Orr
Cas through and through after spending two spells there as a player. An assistant coach who always brings the best out of attacking players, he could revitalise the Tigers. The problem with this appointment is that he is currently out of the game with a new job so there is no guarantee he would return.
John Kear
There is already a rumour going around that John Kear could be on his way to perform a rescue mission at the Jungle. He performed miracles at Hull FC, Wakefield Trinity and of course Sheffield in the passed and could be what the Tigers need short term.
Sam Burgess
Just starting out his coaching career in the NRL, it may be premature for the legendary player to dive into a Head Coaches role. However, he would bring a definite lift and is from West Yorkshire.
Danny Ward
The 2004 Super League Champion did a terrific job at London Broncos in 2019 and you always felt his next step was to a top Super League side. Instead he ended up in Rugby Union. He would be a terrific appointment for the Tigers.
Justin Morgan
The former Hull KR coach did a brilliant job in his time in Super League and a return now would be brilliant for both him and the Tigers. He took the newly promoted Robins and forged them into a play-off regular even recording their highest ever Super League finish of fourth.
Matt Adamson
A former Leeds Rhinos star, Adamson has coached alongside some of the best ever including the likes of Craig Bellamy. He is keen on a return to coaching and especially in the UK. His dream is to win the Challenge Cup.
Andrew Henderson
A former Cas player, he did a brilliant job as Director of Rugby at Keighley Cougars. Now at York RLFC, he has just started his journey with them but this chance could be too good to turn down.
Ryan Sheridan
He did a brilliant job as assistant to Daryl Powell in the past and many felt he should have replaced Powell at Cas in 2022 but instead he followed him to Warrington Wolves. An attacking coach, a return to the Jungle could be a match made in heaven.
Richard Marshall
Another coach at Warrington Wolves, Marshall has Head Coach experience and is a solid defence coach. He could be a steady pair of hands for the Tigers.
