Wolves recall Brown for Widnes clash

Hull Warrington Betting

Tony Smith has recalled Kevin Brown into Warrington’s 19-man squad for Thursday’s match against his former club Widnes.

Winger Matty Russell is also back in the mix for the game at the Halliwell Jones Stadium as the Wolves look to make it three consecutive victories.

Their opponents Widnes are without injured trio Aaron Heremaia, Chris Houston and Rangi Chase but welcome back Tom Armstrong, Alex Gerrard and Greg Burke.

The game is in essence a meaningless one with both sides unable to make the top eight as they prepare to fight for Super League status in the Qualifiers.

With victory, the Vikings can ensure they don’t finish bottom but they will avoid the wooden spoon anyway if Leigh fail to beat Salford on Friday night.

Warrington 19-man squad:

Ryan Atkins, Kevin Brown, Daryl Clark, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie, Brad Dwyer, Peta Hiku, Chris Hill, Jack Hughes, Benjamin Jullien, George King, Tom Lineham, Declan Patton, Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford, Matty Russell, Andre Savelio, Ashton Sims, Morgan Smith.

Widnes 19-man squad:

Tom Armstrong, Keanan Brand, Jack Buchanan, Greg Burke, Hep Cahill, Ed Chamberlain, Jay Chapelhow, Gil Dudson, Alex Gerrard, Jordan Johnstone, Manase Manuokafoa, Stefan Marsh, Joe Mellor, Tom Olbison, Charly Runciman, Corey Thompson, Brad Walker, Danny Walker, Matt Whitley.
