England international Gareth Widdop has won the Rugby League Professionals Association five-eighth of the year.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a fine season in the NRL with 10 tries, 18 assists and 71 goals to his name.
Widdop also claimed St George’s Player of the Year award last night, voted by both his peers and the coaching staff.
The Dragons captain will now be hoping he can replicate his club form at the World Cup, where he is expected to be included in Wayne Bennett’s England squad.
