Warriors odds on to reach the Semi Finals

Wigan Warriors v Castleford Tigers

Wigan make the short trip down the A49 for their Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Warrington in a game screened live on BBC1.

Wigan are now around 1/2 favourites from 4/6  after the news that the likes of Tomkins, Bateman and O’loughlin are all back for this one. Atkins, Gidley and Brown are all back for Warrington but Chris Hill is suspended.

Both sides are on a retched run of results as they sit 8th and 10th in the table, but the injuries are starting to clear.
For all Wigan concede a 6 point start on the handicap they haven’t won in Super League since April. In fact the last time they picked up a point was when these 2 met at magic weekend.
Wire aren’t faring much better and have lost badly over the last couple of weeks, there is a real chance both of these will end up in the middle 8 so both will enjoy a game without any League pressure on it.

The loss of the influential Hill is a big blow to Warrington but it remains to be seen how the Wigan players perform after so long out, you’d expect it would take them a game or 2 to settle back in.
This said though you have to think the market is right in making Wigan favourites as the likes of Burgess can go back to their preferred roles after being played out of position. Young Liam Marshall will have a 1st choice centre alongside him aswell so 10/1 are tempting odds for him to score 1st, Burgess is the 8/1 favourite.
Lineham also looks too big at 12/1.
You can get 2/1 for a home win but Wire look like a side who have forgotten how to win, I think the Warriors can win this by around 6-10 points which is right on the handicap line. The Warriors won comfortably here in the league and the 1/2 for a home win can be boosted to around even money on the Half Time Full Time.

Finally the man of the match, Tomkins unsurprisingly is a 7/1 favourite but this could be the game where we see a return to form for George Williams so I just prefer him at 8/1 as for the hosts Ratchford always goes well against his hometown club so I favour him at 14/1 over Daryl Clark at the same price in a wide open market. Kevin Brown heads the market in Primrose and Blue at 10/1, Bateman is 10/1 in cherry and White but as said before could need the game to get back into it.

Hull entertain Castleford tomorrow as always please gamble responsibly.
