Two players charged by the RFL

Halifax could be without two key players for Saturday’s trip to Warrington in the Super 8s Qualifiers.

The RFL’s match review panel have charged former Wire favourite Simon Grix and winger Will Sharp for incidents during their defeat to Widnes yesterday.

Grix is charged with Grade A dangerous contact but is likely to escape suspension should he decide to use his early guilty plea.

However, Sharp, who is cited for Grade B tripping, does not have his EGP available and will almost certainly miss the match at the Halliwell Jones Stadium if found guilty.

Elsewhere, Wakefield forward Tinirau Arona has received a caution for striking with the knee during Thursday’s Super League Super 8s match against Leeds.
