Super League sponsors Betfred have reacted to two impressive displays by halving the odds on Daryl Powell’s Castleford topping the Super League table after 23 regular season rounds.
The Tigers were available at 10/1 to finish top at the start of the season, but are now into 11/2 third favourites as they sit top of the league following the impressive wins against Warrington and Leigh.
Castleford are also now third favourites at 6/1 for Grand Final glory at Old Trafford in October, which again is in from around 10/1.
Another side with a 100 per cent record, Wigan, have been edged in slightly to 2/1 and head the betting. Warrington have edged out slightly to 7/2, from 3/1, to finish top after losing both their opening fixtures.
Catalans are also a big mover after beating two of last year’s top three already. They have been cut from 33/1 to 12/1 to top the regular season table.
