Hull FC full-back Jamie Shaul has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The 24-year-old’s new deal will keep him with his hometown team until the end of the 2020 season.

Shaul has become a huge fans favourite with the Black and Whites, especially since scoring the winning try in this season’s Challenge Cup Final to end Hull’s Wembley hoodoo.

He topped off his best season to date with a place in the 2016 Super League Dream Team and now he has been rewarded with a new extended deal with the Airlie Birds.

“I’m buzzing to sign for a further two years with the club,” Shaul told the Hull FC website.

“I’ve supported Hull all my life so when I had the chance to sign a new contract I jumped at it.

“I like to think I went well last year, but I know I’ve got improvements in my game that I need to make if I’m make to make the England squad, which is my ultimate aim.

“As a club, we’ve signed well and they’re great additions to the squad. Hopefully they will help us kick on towards more silverware next season.

“I feel really good after being in pre-season and everyone’s bouncing at the moment. We all can’t wait for the new season.”
