RFL charge two players following Challenge Cup semi-finals

The RFL’s Match Review Panel have charged two players with Grade B offences following this weekend’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-finals.

Wigan hooker Sam Powell has been cited for dangerous contact after a tackle around the legs of Salford’s Lama Tasi.

Powell has his early guilty plea available to use for the challenge which saw him put on report by referee James Child.

Tasi himself has been cited with a shoulder charge on Wigan’s Taulima Tautai.

The Salford forward has already used his early guilty plea this season and will have to face the disciplinary panel tomorrow evening.
