Reports from Australia suggest Manly Sea Eagles winger Akuila Uate is on his way to Super League.

Uate, who previously played for the Newcastle Knights before a move to Manly last year, will sign a three-year deal with Huddersfield Giants, starting from next year, according to ‘The Mole’.

The powerful Fijian, who also made five appearances for the Australian national team, will excite the Giants crowds and his try-scoring record of 129 tries in 198 NRL games should not be downplayed.

Uate would be the first signing of Simon Woolford’s reign at the John Smith’s Stadium following the Aussie’s appointment as Giants boss in April.
