Not making Grand Final would be ‘massive failure’ says Hull prop

Hull FC prop forward Scott Taylor has emphasised the importance of making the Grand Final, saying it would be a “massive failure” for the club if they fail to reach Old Trafford.

After winning the Challenge Cup for a second consecutive year, the Black and Whites’ attention now turns to Super League as they return to action against Leeds Rhinos tonight.

However, just the one piece of silverware won’t suffice for Hull as they want to push on and stamp their authority on the competition.

“Last year the main goal was about winning at Wembley and being the first Hull team to do it,” Taylor told the Daily Star.

“But this year it’s all about making that Grand Final and getting Hull FC’s name on the Super League trophy for the first time.

“The double is massive. If we don’t make the Grand Final this year I think it’s a massive failure for this club.”
