Leigh set to be at home in Million Pound Game

Leigh Centurions v Catalans Dragons

Leigh have given themselves a major chance of been at home in next week’s Million Pound Game after a 41-4 victory away to London.

Because of the big margin of victory, Neil Jukes’ side have significantly improved their points difference and now look likely to finish fourth.

The biggest game of the season will be at the Leigh Sports Village next Saturday unless Catalans and Widnes draw in Perpignan this evening.

If that is the case, then Widnes will secure an automatic place in Super League next season while the Dragons will be at home next weekend, with Leigh pushed down to fifth.

The Centurions ran in seven tries last night as they put in their best performance of their Qualifiers campaign ahead of next week’s huge match.

They will now watch with anticipation this evening and will host the losers next week in the Million Pound Game.

Current situation:

Pos. Played. For. Against. Points

3. Leigh, 7, 203, 104, 8pts

4. Widnes, 6, 176, 86, 8pts

5. Catalans, 6, 120, 131 8pts
