Kelly suspended for tackle on Ashurst

Kelly suspended

Hull FC’s Albert Kelly has submitted an early guilty plea and will be suspended for the Airlie Birds next Super League match against Catalans Dragons.

The half-back was charged for a high tackle on Matty Ashurst in the 68th minute of Sunday’s Super League opener against Wakefield Trinity.

Kelly was not penalised for the incident during the match, a moment Wakefield head coach Chris Chester called a game-changing moment as Hull scored their match-winning try just two minutes later.

The black and whites new signing will be unable to use his early guilty plea again this season but will be available for selection in Hull FC’s match against Huddersfield Giants on Thursday 2nd March.
