Leeds bring back Lilley for Saints clash

Jordan Lilley loan return

On the same day Leeds announced the signing of Richie Myler for the 2018 season, young half-back Jordan Lilley has been recalled from his loan spell at Bradford.

Rhinos captain Danny McGuire is expected to pick up a ban for a Grade C charge at tonight’s RFL Disciplinary, this could mean a way back in for Lilley who has been given limited opportunities in 2017.

In other team news for Thursday’s clash at Headingley, Carl Ablett returns with Brett Ferres ruled out with a knee injury.

Full-back Ashton Golding will have fitness test on a hamstring injury while Jamie Jones-Buchanan is included in the 19-man squad despite facing a Grade A charge at a hearing this evening.

Dual-registration players Jordan Baldwinson and Jack Ormondroyd are also included as Brian McDermott’s side look to bounce back from their 23-12 defeat to Castleford six days ago.

Their opponents St Helens make just one change to the team that produced a dramatic comeback win against Salford with centre Ryan Morgan replacing Jake Spedding in their 19-man squad.

Mark Percival is also included by Justin Holbrook despite facing a disciplinary hearing this evening charged with Grade C other contrary behaviour.
