James Graham speaks out on his future

Canterbury Bulldogs 24-12 New Zealand Warriors

Canterbury Bulldogs captain James Graham says his future is still undecided despite reports suggesting he has signed with St George Illawarra for 2018.

The England international forward described the Dragons link as paper talk but did admit that his time on Belmore could be coming to an end.

With an ongoing battle to get under the cap for next year, the Bulldogs could be forced to offload their skipper after signing the likes of Aaron Woods and Kieran Foran.

“The current situation at Canterbury is quite delicate,” Graham told NRL 360.

“It’s quite clear that some current contracted players are going to have to move on in order for us to fundamentally play for points next year.

“The major talks I’m having is with myself. I’m figuring a few things out. Negotiations going on are internal rather than external.

“I’ve got to get a few things right in my head and make a decision moving forward for my career.”

Graham signed for the Bulldogs in 2012 and has become the heart and soul of the club in that time.
