Whitehaven RL have announced the signing of Brad Billsborough from St Helens. The scrum half or hooker comes from the Under 19’s side at Langtree Park. He made 21 appearences for the sides Under 19 & Reserve side this season scoring 1 try and kicked 40 goals & 1 drop goal.
Billsborough said “I’m made up with signing for Whitehaven, looking forward to the challenge I’ve known Carl for ages through St. Helens he’s a great bloke and doing well with Haven. I am looking forward to paying him back for the faith he’s put in me”
Head coach Carl Forster said “I’m made up to bring Brad in. He’s come from a great set up at Saints and they speak really well of him. He’s clever and very vocal for a young lad and will add great depth in key positions in our halves and hooker role.
Brad recently made his international debut for Germany as they went up against Wales Dragonhearts. Ben qualifies for Germany through his mother who is German born. He put in a man of the match performance scoring a try and kicking five goals.
