Ferres banned for six matches

Ferres banned

Leeds Rhinos Brett Ferres has been found guilty of a Grade E Dangerous Contact charge and banned for six matches.

Ferres has received heavy criticism for the crusher tackle on Oliver Gildart, with the Wigan centre facing three months on the sidelines having fractured three vertebrae.

The Rhinos are currently without Brad Singleton who is in the process of serving his own six-match ban for an elbow on Catalans forward Greg Bird.

Elsewhere, Jamie Acton has been given a one-match ban for Dangerous Contact during Leigh Centurions’ match against Widnes Vikings on Saturday.

Brett Ferres is a thug and should be banned for life he could have put Oliver Gildart in a wheel chair!! What sort of club would still want to employ this low life you have to wonder if Mr Hetherington. thinks of such a person on his pay role is a good role model for all the youngters at Leeds???Cannot manage to be a decent human being on or off he field can he??

I think there is more to come from this Gildart injury and believe me it will be a long term thing. Not 3 months.

Ferres should have got as long as Gildart out an then the same again AT LEAST.He has got away with a nice 6 week holiday whilst Gildart has only pain and rehabilitation to look forward to.Time the RFL made the punishment fit the crime for ALL players whatever colour their shirt

Quite simply, the punishment does not fit the crime. Appalling tackle could have been career threatening.

Ferres’ actions inexcusable, but Wigan medical team’s decision to send out a seriously injured player to resume playing at the start of the second half just beggars belief!

So wigan were able to do a cat scan at halftime?????Get over yourself you willbe telling me you were educated once.Ferres is low life one cannot get any lower he will no doubt get what is due to him!! He cannot behave on the field or off it so perhaps he should try under it and do the world a favour -oh and me and Wigan.

It was not the worst tackle ever on a rugby pitch. I am sure there as been worse tackles by some wigan players. How many games has Joel Tompkins got for his high tackle on rob burrow? . Non eh!. He could have blinded rob or even broken his neck. And nowt has been done about it as per usual. The intent was there wasn’t,t it?

Get over yourself see the picture once a low life always one as I said on and of the field he cannot conduct him self as a decent person. Perhaps he could try under the ground.Leeds seem to sign low life just got rid of one and now you have Ferres well done such role models for the young fans!!!!
