London Broncos 58-4 Batley Bulldogs

Report

London Broncos piled on the points to end the season in style as they blew Batley Bulldogs away at Trailfinders. A hat-trick of tries from Elliot Kear, followed up by braces courtesy of Api Pewhairangi and Rhys Williams, helped the Broncos to an emphatic victory while the West Yorkshire side could only muster a James Brown four-pointer in the second half.

The capital club were 18-0 up at the break thanks to a brace from Kear and a try from Michael Channing. Three tries in the opening eight minutes of the second period gave Andrew Henderson’s men a very comfortable advantage.

Pewhairangi, Kear and Williams all touched down before prop forward Junior Roqica crossed moments after Batley centre Jason Crookes was sin-binned for a dangerous tackle. Batley did get on the scoresheet in his absence, though, as Brown made sure the visitors weren’t going to be nilled. In the final quarter, London added three more tries to their name as Pewhairangi and Williams completed their braces before Matt Davis finished the game with a try of his own.
