In a must-win match for the Canberra Raiders yesterday, England forward Elliott Whitehead was the right man in the right place to score in golden point.

Facing a St George side led by England stand-off Gareth Widdop, it looked like the Dragons would have too much for the green machine for long periods.

However, despite Widdop scoring 10 of his sides 14 points, it wasn’t enough as Aidan Sezer produced two moments of brilliance before Whitehead pounced in extra time.
