Challenge Cup third round draw to be streamed live

The draw for the third Round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup, which takes place tonight at 7pm, will be broadcast live on the BBC Sport website. It will be conducted by Warrington full-back Stefan Ratchford, who was part of the Wolves winning side at Wembley in 2012, and Ryan Brierley of the Huddersfield Giants.

The eight sides who won second round ties at the weekend will be joined by all 16 Kingstone Press League 1 sides meaning a cup debut for Toronto Wolfpack.

Paul Rowley’s side will become the first Transatlantic side to compete in the famous competition and will make their cup bow over the weekend of February 25-26 when third Round games are scheduled to be played.

If the Wolfpack get a home tie in today’s draw, they’ll play at the Academy Stadium in SportCity, Manchester. The ground was due to host a Toronto friendly against Wigan but the game was postponed.

The BBC will again keep up their commitment to the Challenge Cup by screening a third round tie on their website, as they did last weekend when Siddal came from behind to beat Pilkington Recs 34-10 – this game is still available to watch on the BBC iPlayer if you missed it. The Wolfpack will be the plum draw for all clubs involved in the third round as history will be made, the number to look out for is 18 .
