RFL investigating crowd trouble at Featherstone

Crowd trouble Featherstone

Featherstone and Hull KR could be in hot water as the Rugby Football League investigate crowd trouble from Sunday’s clash at the LD Nutrition Stadium.

The alleged incident happened during the second half of the game and an RFL spokesman has confirmed an investigation is underway.

“We are aware of crowd disturbances from the Featherstone Rovers v Hull KR fixture and it’s something we are looking into,” the spokesman told the Hull Daily Mail.

In an eventful match between two of the Championship’s top four, the Robins came from 16-0 down to claim a 20-all draw against a determined Featherstone outfit.

Following the match, clips emerged on social media of the chaos on the terraces.

Hull KR currently have a £20,000 suspended fine to their name for the unsavoury scenes after last season’s Million Pound Game against Salford.
