Centurion set for debut? Leigh name squad to face Widnes

Leigh Centurions coach Neil Jukes has made two changes for this weekend’s match against Widnes Vikings.

The 18th and 19th men in the win against Catalans Dragons two weeks ago – Eloi Pellisier and Matty Fleming – have both been dropped from the squad.

James Clare and Danny Tickle are their replacements for what is the most important match of the year so far.

Clare is yet to play a competitive fixture for Leigh due to an anterior crucial ligament injury he sustained in pre-season.

The Centurions are currently fourth in sthe Qualifiers, which will give them a home tie in the Million Pound Game. They’re level on points with Widnes so a win would be massive for Jukes’ men at the Leigh Sports Village on Sunday.

Leigh’s 19 man squad is as follows..

Mitch Brown, Adam Higson, Matty Dawson, Josh Drinkwater, Micky Higham, Cory Paterson, Glenn Stewart, Harrison Hansen, Danny Tickle, Antoni Maria, Atelea Vea, Gregg McNally, Ben Reynolds, Sam Hopkins, James Clare, Lachlan Burr, Daniel Mortimer, Samisoni Langi, Greg Richards.
