Can 8/1 London win in France ?

2 games from the Middle 8 live on Sky today,

1st up is Leigh’s visit to Featherstone.
The Centurions had a great win over Salford last time out to move off the bottom of the table,  Featherstone secured their spot in the middle 8 a few weeks ago but were overtaken for 3rd place in the Championship in the last round of games.

Whilst it’s hard to gauge the true gap between the Championship and Super League Leigh should win this comfortably which is why they are very short at around 2/9 to win this.
Derek Beaumont thinks that Featherstone are the biggest danger out of the Championship sides but I’m not sure how much 2nd tier Rugby he’s seen because I can’t agree with him there.
If you agree with the Leigh supremo you can get around 7/2 for a home win, but it’s not for me.

Leigh concede 12 points on the handicap and they can win this by more than 2 scores, maybe by around 16-20 points, I think this middle 8 will show the gap is massive between the 2 leagues, this Leigh side has alot more quality than the side that easily won the Championship last year.

Value bet of the game for me though has to be Sam Hopkins to score a try anytime at 11/2. He scored 15 tries in the Championship last season.

2nd games sees Championship dark horses London travel to Perpignan to take on Catalans.

The Broncos put up a good showing in the middle 8 last year which included a win at Salford and can be backed at 8/1 to win here.
It’ll take a huge effort to win in France but whilst the Dragons should justify odds of 1/14 to win the game,  I think they can stay inside the 22 point handicap against a poor French outfit.

You can get 19/10 for the Broncos getting a 14 point start and that looks good value to me.

I wouldn’t put anyone off backing the shock away win at 8/1 bit it’s the Dragons by around 6-10 points for me.
