Huddersfield have reacted angrily to a rumour suggesting that Danny Brough is set to leave the club after a fall out with head coach Rick Stone.
A report in a tabloid newspaper today said the pair had a massive bust up and the 34-year-old Scottish international was set to leave the John Smith’s Stadium.
However, Brough led the Giants to an unlikely draw against champions Wigan this afternoon and the club’s Managing Director, Richard Thewlis, made the following statement following the game:
“I have seen the press article that has caused such understandable concern with our support base. It is without any substance, however given the damaging nature of the article we have no choice but to pass the matter to our lawyers.”
The club will make no further comment.
