Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles Appoints Grant Mitchell Head of Rugby League Operations

Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles who are the current feeder club to the Manly Sea Eagles in the NRL have appointed 2017 Sydney Shield coach of the year Grant Mitchell as Head of Rugby League Operations.

Grant has a very good back ground and knowledge when it comes to rugby league. He has coached at Penrith Panthers, Western Sydney Academy of Sport and in recent years Mounties.

Grant is excited about his new role and he is very optimistic regarding the future of Blacktown and the relationship with Manly.

Blacktown will have two teams that will compete in the NSWRL Intrust Super Premiership and The Ron Massey Cup. Both teams will be playing out of a new stadium that is set to open in early 2019.

In other news Blacktown have reappointed Steven Hales as the Intrust Super Premiership coach and will be hoping to make the top 8 after just missing out in 2018.

Brad Prior has been reappointed as The Ron Massey Cup coach after making week 2 of the finals in 2018.

Both teams will commence preseason training 12th of November
