Betfred release odds on 2018 Super League champions

Betfred have made Castleford 7/2 favourites to be Super League champions in 2018.

Daryl Powell’s side were beaten in last night’s Grand Final against Leeds, however Super League’s main sponsors believe they can put that disappointment behind them and go one better next year.

Beaten 2017 semi-finalists St Helens are next in the running at 4/1 after a strong end to the season under new head coach Justin Holbrook.

Saints were denied a place in this year’s season finale by Luke Gale’s golden point drop goal and Betfred believe they will be a major force in 2018.

Back-to-back Challenge winners Hull FC and 2016 Super League champions Wigan are joint third favourites at 9/2 with the leading bookmaker.

After clinching their eighth title at the Theatre of Dreams last night, Leeds are priced at 6/1 to defend their Super League crown following the departure of stalwarts Danny McGuire and Rob Burrow.
