Leigh Centurions have had a request to delay Jamie Acton’s disciplinary hearing until next week accepted by the RFL
Acton was charged with a Grade F offence of ‘other contrary behaviour ‘ after lifting Greg Bird from the ground when he lay injured during Leigh’s defeat at Catalans last Saturday . If found guilty a Grade F offence carries a minimum 8 match ban which would rule Acton out until 2 games before the end of the middle 8 .
A Grade F offence is the most serious charge available and the Centurions have requested the extra time to prepare for the hearing , the request was granted on the understanding the 25 year old prop won’t play until the case has been heard , so Acton will miss Fridays game at Warrington .
